Talisker 25 Years, Isle of Skye, Single Malt, 70cl, 45.8%

The only distillery on the Isle of Skye Nose: Soft for Talisker with clear whiffs of black pepper, seaweed and caramel. Also hints of iodine and woodsmoke. Palate: This is medium-bodied and smooth with a subtle smoky base; the balance is perfect with hints of sweet caramel and the typical briny salinity that characterises the distillery. Finish: Long, pleasing and very earthy with hints of ginger and chocolate. Overall: A tasty Talisker that displays the distillery’s unique character to great effect.
